This full-day tour is especially made for you to understand and have a global vision of the landing of the American Forces on June 6th 1944.
We will visit the town of Sainte-Mère-Eglise, located in the Cotentin peninsula, which was liberated by the American paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne Division. On the way to Utah Beach, see the fields which had been flooded by the German troops. You will stand where Theodore Junior Roosevelt landed with the 4th Infantry Division on Dday.
We will explore the top of the cliffs of Pointe-du-Hoc, where the 2nd Ranger battalion led by James Rudder scaled the cliffs in order to neutralize a German coastal battery.
You will learn the stories of American soldiers and veterans who took part of the landing on Omaha beach.
You will be able to pay respect to the fallen at the Normandy American cemetery of Colleville-sur-Mer.
