Our tour guide, Thomas, was wonderful. He has studied history and archaeology. He has a passion for the WW2 sites, having grown up and lived in Normandy. He brought the battles to life with many stories of the fallen and veterans, including many that he met in the past, sharing photos of himself with those veterans. The tour was very interesting and we’d highly recommend it. Thanks Thomas!

Thomas was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the history of D-Day. He even took the time during our stops at the American Cemetery and lunch to do a little research on several ancestors of our tour and show us places they fought at, around Utah Beach or where my great uncle’s parachute company landed, and altered his route so we could see those places.

Amazing experience- the entire day was so moving. The experience was greatly enhanced by the guide, Thomas. Not only did he have an impressive mastery of facts, but his passion for remembering the veterans and their stories added to the experience. I have been reading fiction and non-fiction books about WW II for years and have wanted to come for a long time. This tour brought so much alive for me.

Thomas did a great job guiding us through the D-day sites. Standing on the beaches and looking at gun emplacements is one thing, but Tom helped us imagine the hell of that day with detailed and heart-wrenching stories backed up with photos and maps.

Historically detailed, but deeply personalized by amazing guide–Thomas was extremely knowledgeable, and very well spoken on both the facts and the people involved in the D-day operations. He brought the history alive with reference to detailed research he has conducted, people he has met, and artifacts he has gathered. Truly a remarkable guide. Highly recommend the tour.

Thomas was wonderful!! His knowledge of history of the war and the area was unbelievable. Highly recommended. Would request Thomas if I return to the area. His approach was such that it held the attention of my 12 year old granddaughter all day.

I would ask for Thomas Bernard again! Our guide,Thomas had done his research and knew the stories and background at Utah, Omaha, Pointe du Hoc and stops along the way. I especially liked this little church where two medics attended the wounds of American and German soldiers.

We did a 9 hour tour with Thomas. You can’t visit without a tour with him. His level of research and family involvement is unparalleled. There is no way you can gain the depth of knowledge without this tour group. Worth every penny. Also, three nights in Bayeux is important. On the first day we did the tour but missed on the city sites. We are committed to returning to finish the experience. Also, the city has a wonderful selection of restaurants that cater to tourists. Again, if you are going to visit this place, Thomas is your go-to tour guide.

Thomas took us on an 8 hour tour of the American sites and experiences from the D-Day landings. It was a fascinating experience and unforgettable, especially for my 2 teenage children who learnt so much history from our guide, Thomas. Thomas grew up in this part of Normandy and had spent his childhood running around the bomb sites and collecting war memorabilia that washed up on Omaha and Utah beaches. His knowledge and enthusiasm for his subject was infectious and we will never forget this day!
